Description
One of the islands in the Shinkami Dao chain is almost entirely composed of an enormous volcano. Sitting in a constantly dormant state, the volcano has become the greatest source of raw materials for metals and stone in the entire island chain. Despite this, it is not mined daily because of the fear that doing so will trigger the volcano to erupt. The volcanic island has become one of the largest points of contention in the Shinkami Dao Civil War due to its production capabilities, and battles are fought near and on the island regularly to wrestle for control of it.
Legends say the volcano the island is based on used to sit at the bottom of the ocean. One day, when the people of ancient Shinkami Dao grew past stone and wood tools, they prayed to the gods for a new resource and the volcano erupted, forming the land of the island. After that, the volcano split from the ocean floor and broke through the new land, creating the island known today. Of course, there are no records confirming this legend.
